@SpiritOf1BYears If kamba& central had been voting in the same since 92, Kamba would be as developed as central . Machakos would already be a City. We’d have made Nairobi-Mombasa road a super highway by now. Cousins should understand that Lobbying is easier when you’re united.

@kevinrigathi_ I know I don't want #1, but what I know for sure, if Pastor Dorcas vies for that Nyeri gubernatorial seat, we shall vote her in asubuhi na mapema sana.

Demolitions at Gikomba Market and other parts of Nairobi are painful. Families are losing livelihoods, traders are counting heavy losses, and many feel abandoned by their own government. No responsible authority should casually destroy its citizens’ source of income.
Yet, we cannot escape reality: no meaningful development happens without some demolition. Modern markets, better infrastructure, and flood control require clearing old structures. Nairobi River reclamation is necessary after years of flooding that has claimed lives and property.
What we urgently need is rationality and common sense: proper notice, genuine consultation, fair relocation plans, and support for affected traders. Not sudden night operations that leave people devastated.
Our reactions also matter. Emotional outrage and callousness won’t solve anything. Let’s demand logic from government actions and maturity from public response. Progress will always involve destruction, but it must be done with humanity and reason.
Development without compassion is cruelty. Anger without solutions is noise. Kenya deserves better.
