@Real_Ames I am fighting with the school to get my son a toilet pass so he can go in lessons, but as there is no medical need they won’t let him have one, although a mental health need….. this is a secondary school and got a detention because he couldn’t concentrate, and went.

@ICT_MrP My child school struggles now to support that children they have, many don’t have diagnoses. However my child who has dyslexia does not get the support they require due to the other children, thus he ends up with detentions etc because there all treated the same!

I’ve just been reading the newspaper leaks around the upcoming SEND reforms. We all know the current system isn’t working properly for too many children, families or schools. Change is needed. Nothing’s been confirmed yet and the white paper is still to come but if these

@GMB This is a great idea, as both primary and secondary schools have failed my child, and I am still fighting now an exhausting battle even with ILP in place…but this is all down to not having funding to support the needs. They just penalise with detentions.

Parents of children with special educational needs - known as SEND - could be forced to have their children re-assessed as they move from primary to secondary school according to reports on leaked government plans. The controversial plans could be unveiled in full as early as Monday. @LouisaJamesITV has the latest.

4.5 million children in the UK grow up in poverty. Three quarters of them from working families. How can they achieve their potential when they are skipping meals, or going to sleep in a cold bedroom? I will not stand by and watch that happen. We are acting now to lift those children out of poverty.

@RachelReevesMP @hmtreasury You need competent staff, who are paid their worth….!!! You are not protecting the NHS your are crashing it out, placing demands of already exhausted, underpaid, over whelmed staff…. Look at the grounds workers not the leaders…

@UKLabour Are you really!!! If this is the case why is the NHS banding start just above minimum wage, by that I mean pence… why are skilled workers being paid less than non skilled? Why are honest two income families in debt to survive a month of food, bills, rent ??

Ending the two-child benefit cap will help hundreds of thousands of children out of poverty. Labour’s record on fighting child poverty changed my life. Now we’re doing it again for the next generation. 🌹

Families with six or more children are set to pocket a staggering £14,000 extra a year if the Chancellor, Rachel Reeves, scraps the two-child benefits cap in the Autumn Budget. The move would cost taxpayers billions, and hand five-figure pay outs to thousands of large households.

@GMB Does this now decrease universal credit claims on dependants? Maybe supporting free school lunches till secondary, bring back the milk carton. Have schools collect clothing and we support families as a community. Money isn’t always spent on what it’s meant for.

Rachel Reeves will reportedly scrap the two-child benefit cap in the budget to help lift children out of poverty.  It will cost £3 billion, meaning more tax.  So should the government scrap the two-child benefit cap?

@PhilMyers53 It would be the best thing to part privatise the NHS, like Australia do. Then that way medial staff will get honest reflective pay, services will be used as they are required and mis use of services will be charged accordingly. Hopefully stopping NHS abuse.
