@keymiisploon @Allegro_spl @Strati_Gem While I can understand your feeling of encouraging people to try low level again, i just think the way you went about it here strikes a particularly bad chord. Its not super grounded in the reality of the low level scene either so it turns out to be kinda empty advice

Your choice of words, specifically "dragging them down" has an implication that the only way for Gem to exist in midlevel is to bring others down instead of people wanting to work with him

If some player who knows better messages me about a video like "hey, that's wrong; here's why" the video gets unlisted immediately.

@keymiisploon @Allegro_spl @Strati_Gem Maybe, it just feels weird to be so insistent on a point where literally no one is being force to try to take him on. Its not like hes holding a gun to midlevel players forcing them to let him in. Hes literally just asking if anyone wants to give him a shot

@Sambews1 There are people who have been willing to try out. If they play with me and find they aren't interested in teaming based on my skill level, they're free to choose not to play with me. It doesn't have to be this complicated.

@CrestofGautier @Strati_Gem i’m not saying that they should be unbanned necessarily. gem is not a d4 player. a lot of gems advice actively hurts the d5+’s wanting to reach mid level. coaching isn’t a great thing most of the time. but when you take a player d5 at max—it’s even worse. watch higher levels play

Gems results when he consistently played before all of this were above low level tourneys, and rust/lack of playing isn’t gonna be enough to get unbanned from tourneys, you have to get consistent results to

I would highly encourage ALL people in the Splatoon Community to read this. If you have ever Supported Gem / Squid School in the past and heard about the serious allegations put against him. I personally believe he is innocent and I think its such a shame that this escalated this far to the level that it did.
