@ReverendWarnock Sigh… it’s all gerrymandering. But no one can figure out a fair way to do it. Ironically it creates pockets of areas where people end up moving to so they will have a voice. Somehow we need to figure out a way for everyone to have a voice without forcing people into tight groups

Some good news today. South Carolina has chosen NOT to move forward with gerrymandering for the time being. AND a court has blocked Alabama’s gerrymander. The fight continues. But these small victories are important. Keep the faith.

@JamesCarne49587 Pray for God’s mercy like you would for anyone else. A relationship is between each person and God. We can only speak for ourselves, we will never know for sure if the other person has a relationship. It’s a private thing in the very end.

My brother’s dad just died. He wasn’t a believer in Christ. How do I pray for someone who has passed but didn’t know Christ?

@BethMooreLPM I always figure it’s really up to God as to who is chosen to speak the word at any given moment. No one will ever convince me that he declares HALF of his own creation “not qualified”.

I’ve never pastored a church. Couldn’t pay me a jillion dollars to. Never been ordained. Have no desire to. The only paid staff position I’ve ever held in a church was as an aerobics teacher in our church gym. But how in heaven’s name a woman discussing a sermon on a podcast could be objectionable to some is beyond me and what I believe to be beyond scripture. If you have no idea what I’m talking about, good. Stay sane. If you do, I’ve lived a long time and this has been my observation: Extremism, whether in conservatism or liberalism, whether in politics or religion, is never satisfied. It will always inch a little bit further. It’s a constant test of the purists.

Were there men in that aerobics class? Women should not teach men because we know it all anyway. Just ask us. My wife says I should have a website because I know everything. Really though it’s absurd to think anyone sharing the Gospel anywhere should remain quiet. Even the rocks would cry out.

I am deeply saddened to share the news of my brother Doug McCain’s sudden passing. He was a truly wonderful, joyful man who supported me throughout my life. He brought humor, fun and great conversation to every room. I will cherish our memories together. Our prayers are with his wife Ashley and children Caroline and Shepp.
