It's time for Poetry in the Round at @LudlowLibrary again this Friday, 9th August, 1-3pm. 💚

I so love my accidental bi pride cornflowers, found them all growing together just like this. 😍 You get beautiful surprises from sowing seeds.

When you garden for wildlife, you can't complain when wildlife eats your plants. 💚 Mullein moth caterpillar - there's only one, and he's been here for about a week or two. #30DaysWild

Happy summer solstice to the northern hemisphere, winter to our southern friends. Woke up early to the St John's wort blooming right on time. 💚 On a semi-related note: it's said plants gathered on St John's Eve (23/06), have increased strength for healing & magic. 🌿

It's Solstice Eve! And there was a party in my beloved mugwort plants this evening. Some notable guests included a 10 spot ladybird & a very shiny-handsome male Philodromus spider (of some description). #30DaysWild

About 15 years ago, I used to tweet with other meditators. I get weirdly nostalgic about that & miss those days. But I can count on Mimi-cat to be 1) my meditation buddy forever 2) my zen master / cushion thief (It's a chilly June & she has to warm her toe beans somehow!)

This photo my husband took of my daughters & me somehow sums up everything that matters right now. I've not been on here much for 4 years now, but I guess I'm coming back. Probably not with any hot takes, but with books, writing, being outside, sobriety, a bit of this & that.

I'm sure I had better things to do for ten minutes than listen to a riverside argument between four species of corvid & record it on the Merlin app... Jk, this is exactly where I wanted to be. 😄 (The little birds weren't involved - they were singing elsewhere.) #30DaysWild

It won't get more #30DaysWild than this today, really. I'm at Whitcliffe Common attempting to write, but had to let this tiny wasp - yes, it's a wasp! - have a rest on my pen. First pic, resting. Second, wings out, ready for flight. There is no third photo, because it was gone.

That should be *trying to share something. Don't type in a rush while getting ready to take your child to Brownies.

Well, I started a day late & I'm a day late again, but trying share something every day (when I remember) for #30DaysWild. Yesterday I finished reading this - The Year of Sitting Dangerously by Simon Barnes. Surprisingly poignant, unsurprisingly delightful and bird-full. 💚
