Again, my NYC Uber driver this morning, immigrant, not great English, voting for Trump. Reasons he gives are the cost of living, said it was better under Trump. So this maintains the score of immigrant (male) Uber drivers for Trump (NYC chapter) at 100%, which surprises me. Anyway NYC is voting for Harris, so these votes won’t change the outcome. The demographics of the support are not per some narratives though.

A day and a half in New York City and my chats with people from different walks of life throw up some interesting but at this stage not unfamiliar results. Immigrant Uber drivers, so far unanimously for Trump. Regular manual workers, seem to be for Trump. They all seem to think they will make more money or at least have to spend less if he’s back in. Professional class (preponderance) lean to thinking Harris will beat Trump. Harris support isn’t enthusiastic but is anti-Trump. This is by no means a scientific poll.

It's my birthday today, a good excuse to reflect on the last 12 months. Last year I was underweight, never left the house, panic attacks daily, felt life not worth living. Now I'm a healthy weight, go for long walks every day, no panic attack in months and I'm loving life 🙂
