It’s hard to have that discussion without a clear definition of what AGI is. I don’t think we’re there yet, AI still isn’t capable or fully closing the loop on any use case I can think of. A human is still required in the loop somewhere, no matter what the task is (for now at least).

Jensen Huang (Nvidea) claims AGI has been achieved. Is it me or I feel most AI CEOs/VCs are becoming politicians/influencers? I keep asking myself if this is delusion or I am not seeing the full picture. @atmoio seems like you will never run out of content.

Repeat after me: AI will not cook for me. AI will not sleep for me. AI will not heal for me. AI will not run for me. AI will not have sex for me. AI will not love for me. AI will not give my life meaning for me.

Canva did not make slides look better. It made the access to design easier. But still people needed to do the hard work. Same goes for AI with writing, dev and movie making.

@atmoio I am having a similar problem while reviewing any LLMs work with creative writing. What I discovered is that any LLM is good when you know exactly what you want (review time becomes almost minimal). With software engineering, it’s much more complicated.

Some people go through Prof @xueqinjiang course and look if he is correct or not. But what they forget is that this course is given to high school students in Beijing. Imagine if you studied a course like that when you were 15. @Pred_History

I know the exhaustion that comes with success. I have been there. You take one definition of success. You apply it everywhere. You see the results and the progress. But it comes with a cost.
