They keep on glorifying Rizwan as best Pakistani wicketkeeper batsman. He is not even in Top 3.
I will share one by one. The first in this series is Moin Khan.
Moin has played many match winning knocks with the bat. We talk about Inzi and Miandad in 92 WC Semi Final but Moin’s strikes got Pakistan over the line at the end.
He kept playing match winning innings afterwards too. Who can forget those 4 sixes off Ian Bishop in an over? Moin batted most of the times at 7 or 8 in his ODI career as Pakistan was playing Razzaq and Azhar who would often bat above him hence doesn’t have much higher average but Strike Rate of 81 which is considered high for his era as he played his last game 22 years ago!
Moin had 4 test centuries and 15 half centuries which tell about his batting credentials.
Behind the stumps, Moin had a horrid 93 West Indies tour but other than that, he was pretty safe keeping to Wasim, Waqar, Shoaib and Saqlain.
As a captain, Moin lifted a few trophies for Pakistan which is non existent for Rizwan’s case as a player and captain.
