Investors have lived many lives already this year. Our mid-year outlook for 2025 emphasizes the impact of the Federal government on markets. Tariffs and tighter immigration might be starting to fuel cost pressures, making it hard for the Fed to cut rates aggressively. We anticipate a single rate cut this year, with 10-year rates continuing to hover around 4.5%. A key concern is labor force reductions due to tariffs & the increasing use of AI. Our S&P 500 target remains at 6,200 with upside to 6,500. We favor cheaper growth names like software plus tactically aerospace and defense, and regional banks. Global diversification is still key, especially in Europe and China tech.
