@Panthermonium_ @durstimpression @G2Thijs That's a fair argument but skins built CS as it is today. Without the arms Deal update cs was on the decline and wouldn't be even close to the monster it is today. That entire ecosystem valve built is significant.

I think it's important we have some talk about web3/Crypto related games. I see it has a lot of different comments, which all makes a lot of sense to me. Firstly, I do think the scene, especially 2-3 years ago was very underdeveloped, it was full of scams ect. & quite some influencers had quite a bad approach or selfish ideas to benefit from it. Is the crypto part 100% necessary? Meh not really they could make a third party marketplace similar to steam and function through that but why go through all that when you have something like the blockchain that exists and can do all the heavy lifting for you? I think its only a turnoff because people view it as you are viewing it, I understand that crypto in general looks liike all scam from the outside but I think when it comes to gaming people just have to give it a chance, digital items genuinely have great potential on crypto. Regardless I do understand where you are coming from and dont want to discredit your opinion - All I say is just give it a chance before you call it a scam. The game isnt advertising GREAT RETURNS AND BIIIG MONEY! Its just saying its build with crypto on the side and its a big part of the trading within the game. You can play without any of that if you truly desire and you wouldnt be even at a slight disadvantage.

@khobi123 @G2Thijs There's 0 reason why crypto stuff has to be involved with a mechanic as simple as trading digital cards. People act like it's some revolutionary technology that enables all new features but these things have existed in digital CCGs for years w/o heavyhanded crypto implementation

I mean I'm biased but to be frank it 100% makes sense especially in a TCG. We look at magic and one of its biggest aspects is the collectibility of it especially physically, a similar system applies to other card games like hearthstone but digitially. Now whats wrong with making these card tradeable? I understand crypto and "blockchain" has been predatory in the past and what its often associated with but if we just use steam marketplace and CS as an example its 100% beneficial to the game and 1000% beneficial to its players.
