@khondoc @Kgothatsoxo The people were toxic. Worst place I have ever worked. Lots of “mean girls”. Ugh.

@Kgothatsoxo Mortgage industry. They would start with mimosas in the morning and end with happy hour in the afternoon. Not all companies, but a horrible one I worked for.

@CastleLarger @Abramjee Maybe, but parent could go to work or town and leave baby with grandparents. My issue is grandparents saying it happened at 2am while the dad says it was 12:00 noon

CONFIRMED:
MOKOPANE FCS ARRESTS GRANDPARENTS OF MISSING TWO-YEAR-OLD CHILD FOR ALLEGED CHILD NEGLIGENCE
The Provincial Commissioner of Police in Limpopo, Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe, has welcomed the arrest of the grandparents of missing 2-year-old Omphile Sethole for alleged child negligence.
Members of the Mokopane Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences (FCS) Unit arrested the child’s grandparents, aged 52 and 55, on Friday, 15 May 2026, for alleged child negligence.
The pair is expected to appear before the Mahwelereng Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 18 May 2026.
The case was subsequently transferred to the Mokopane FCS Unit as investigations intensify.
Omphile disappeared from her home in Ga-Mabuela village under the Tinmyne policing area during the early hours of Saturday, 02 May 2026.
Police initially opened cases of housebreaking at residential premises and kidnapping after the child’s grandmother reportedly discovered her missing at about 06:00, with a window left open in the room.
At the time of her disappearance, Omphile was wearing a pink jersey and black tights.
Police confirm that the child is still missing, and investigations aimed at locating her remain ongoing.
Lieutenant-General Hadebe has reiterated her call for community cooperation while warning members of the public against the spread of misinformation surrounding the matter.
“We have assembled experienced investigators from the Mokopane FCS Unit who are working around the clock to trace the missing child and establish all circumstances surrounding her disappearance. We remain committed to ensuring that those responsible are brought to book,” said Lieutenant General Hadebe.
The Provincial Commissioner further appealed to communities to continue providing credible information that may assist police in finding Omphile safely.
Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Omphile Sethole is urged to contact the Mokopane FCS Investigating Officer, Warrant Officer Chuene Selolo, on 082 469 2594, #CrimeStop on 08600 10111, the nearest police station, or share information anonymously via the MySAPSApp.
Police investigations are continuing.

@CastleLarger @Abramjee House has been vacant since Friday, doesn’t seem like he lives there. Also when did the mother leave for Joburg? What if she’s with the mom?
English

@Abramjee Are the childs biological parents MIA or deceased? Usually a child will live with one parent under the roof of the grandparents in this day and age.
So where were the parents?
English

@SAPatri0t @Abramjee Mommy rather walk with her, it’s no longer safe, I now have to lock gates and they play in the yard
English

@Abramjee This thing of letting kids out of your sight must stop or leaving them unsupervised. In my area a mere 4 year old goes to the Spaza by himself😭😭😭

@Keri_ann_rams @msiziworld True, but as soon as you can afford bond, opt for that rather and get a life cover that can pay off the house in a case of death
