@bellosaleh @sultan_ofsokoto @officialABAT How does a region have over 15million out of school children? Many of them have no parental care..No love...they live in squalor and have to beg for food...Boko Haram would forever have a steady source to recruit from.. Nigeria is fast leaving the North behind...Vex but it's true

A video that has recently gone viral alleges that the @sultan_ofsokoto recently met with President @officialABAT and asked a simple question: If Nigeria needs a U.S. military base… why must it be in the North? Now hold that thought. Because a day or so later, Education Minster, @DrTunjiAlausa, on a UK trip with the President, is announcing below a partnership between his ministry, @NigEducation, and Coventry University to award UK degrees… in Nigeria. Location? Alaro, Lekki. Lagos. So let’s get this straight: One region gets foreign universities. Another gets proposed foreign military bases. Opportunity vs occupation. Books vs boots. Degrees vs drones. And no, this isn’t about Coventry University. That debate can wait. This is about a pattern. A pattern where development flows in one direction… And strategic burdens are shipped to another. Where Lagos gets foreign universities. The North gets foreign military bases. Coincidence? Maybe. But patterns, when repeated often enough, stop being accidents. They become policy. And the real tragedy? Other #Nigerian regions are too busy with petty politics to notice. And #Arewa, once the loudest political voice in the room, now watches in silence. Compromised. Muted. Managed. Docile. Absent. #AllahGaMuGareka
Dr. Tunji Alausa@DrTunjiAlausa

I’m in London with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, and we are already making real progress — advancing a major partnership with Coventry University to bring UK degrees to Nigeria. This is personal. For too long, families have had to send their children thousands of miles away in search of quality education. We are changing that. With Coventry University Nigeria, our students will be able to earn fully accredited UK degrees — at significantly lower cost — without leaving the country. As I’ve said, we want Nigerian parents to enjoy having their children at home, while still receiving a world-class UK education. The proposed campus in Alaro City, Lagos will offer Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes across STEMM, Business, and TVET, with admissions expected between Q3 and Q4 of 2026 (subject to approvals). Beyond access, this is about building Nigeria’s human capital — developing the skills, talent, and workforce needed to drive innovation, productivity, and long-term national growth. We are bringing global opportunity home — where it belongs. #alausaedureform #NoDaysOff

@great_j0rdan No, They Limit God IN YOUR OPINION..But the reality is That for A GOD to be An ACTUAL GOD,Such a Being MUST be able to do as He Pleases. He cannot be told what He can or cannot do..what elevates or debases Him. He answers to no one after all..or does He?

Creating mosquitoes, humans, or angels is not the same as having a literal son. Creation is an act of power. A son implies similarity, dependence, and lineage, things that limit God, not elevate Him. In Islam, Allah creates without becoming part of His creation. He is completely independent. Saying God has a son introduces human qualities into God.

Using a N3.6m solar system (8 panels, 10kwh battery), I am able to keep AC turned on 24/7 in my flat with no battery degradation. Let me explain how (this will be a bit long). First of all, in Ikot Ekpene, we have a big family house that has 5 flats in it (used by the various members of my immediate family). One of them is mine, but I am currently renovating it. So I am staying in the other flat. My Dad stays in one of the flats and his inverter was doing poorly, so I bought him the inverter system above (Felicity Lithium Phosphate - 8x 500 watt panels + 10kwh battery and 8kw inverter). The system can be expanded to include a second battery to make 20kwh, but he does not need that, so we kept it. The flat I temporarily moved to did not have solar, so I connected his system so we could share. I figured that this should be enough for both of us, as our daytime draw was 600watts. I observed that during the day I was seeing about 2kw production from the panels from around 11am till 4pm. The batteries fill up in the morning, and basically about 1.5kw is being wasted. Easy fix - turn on a 1 horsepower inverter AC with the mode "80". This makes it consume something like 800watts. Cool through the day. I tried running the bed room AC at night and the battery died in the early hours. Not ideal. The solution - I usually turn off the parlour AC (usually around 5pm), and the battery is close to 100%. The room AC I used a programmable switch which turns the AC on for 10-20 minutes every hour. The bedroom is smaller and more enclosed, so it stays very cold for the entire night. The power consumption - normally the AC would consume ~900wh in an hour, so with this system I drop consumption to maybe 200wh. If I turn it on 8 times, that's total consumption of 1600wh. More than enough left over for the battery to go through the night. So now I have full daytime and nighttime AC on a budget.

@Accoid See what an adult is saying, do you think a Muslim lady will come out to say this? Truth is no sensible Muslim man will pick you if the reason u are converting to his religion is because of money. Religion is about conviction not about what you will gain. Good luck sha.

The reactions to the Ikorodu incident have been strong. The emotions, completely understandable. And every question being asked right now is the kind of question a conscious, engaged citizenry should be asking. Your concern is valid. Your scrutiny is welcome. That is exactly how it should be. The Lagos State Police Command has already provided a detailed update, outlining the full circumstances of the incident and the legal steps that have followed. That response exists because your voices demanded it. And your voices were heard. One thing however must be said, a short video, however powerful, rarely tells the complete story. Before final conclusions are drawn, the full facts must be allowed to surface through proper investigation and due legal process. This is not a request to look away. It is a call to look deeper. Under this leadership, accountability is not negotiable and transparency is not optional. Your concerns have landed. They are being taken seriously. And all of the truth, is what you will receive. You deserve nothing less. And nothing less is what we intend to give.

Below is the update on the viral video: Update: The Lagos State Police Command wishes to brief the general public on the circumstances surrounding the incident at the Ikorodu axis, which resulted in a viral video alleging the operatives of the Lagos State Taskforce were driving a vehicle against traffic. At about 6:30 am on Friday, 13th March 2026, officers of the Taskforce were on routine traffic enforcement patrol, inbound Mile 12, when a vehicle was intercepted by operatives of the Safer Highway Patrol and Protection after the driver made a wrongful turning, as this is a violation of traffic regulations. In an attempt to evade arrest, the driver reversed his vehicle and rammed into an oncoming commercial mini-bus, thereby damaging the mini-bus and endangering other road users. The Safer Highway Patrol Team subsequently handed over the driver and the vehicle to Taskforce officers for further action. During the enforcement, the suspect allegedly resisted arrest and obstructed traffic, causing a temporary gridlock along the corridor. Other components of personnel attached to the Taskforce applied minimal and necessary force to remove him from the roadway and restore normal traffic flow. The damaged mini-bus was towed to the Taskforce Office in Oshodi, while the offender's vehicle was taken to Alausa for further investigation and custody. Preliminary investigation further indicated that the suspect instigated bystanders, leading to a brief mob action against Taskforce Policemen during which stones were thrown at the officers. The viral video currently circulating online was recorded by the suspect while his vehicle was being conveyed to Alausa, and does not capture the full context of the incident. The suspect, Lateef Adeyemo ‘m’, was taken before a mobile court in Oshodi, where he was charged with four (4) counts, namely: Conduct likely to cause breach of the peace; Driving in a direction prohibited by the Law of Lagos State; Obstruction of public officers in the discharge of their official duties; and Malicious damage. He was remanded to prison custody because he could not fulfil the bail conditions. Part III, Schedule 1, Item 27 of the Lagos State Road Traffic Law and Regulations 2018 prohibits driving in a direction or neglecting lawful traffic directions, an offence punishable upon conviction with one year imprisonment and forfeiture of the vehicle to the State Government. The Command urges motorists to obey traffic regulations and cooperate with law enforcement officers. The public is also advised to refrain from circulating misleading narratives capable of causing public misunderstanding.
