Imagine one of your players got fouled by one of ours and your player ended up with a knee injury that took them out of the World Cup.
Then our official account posted ‘Try and stop him’ about the culprit, who frankly, on the pitch offers nothing apart from being a talentless lump that smashes people.
You’d be rightly fuming at it.
No class at all. Shameful from you.
I’m going to say it now so we are all clear. I’m not calling for Eddie Howe to be sacked because he remains the best manager for the job and has over achieved for four years. My view hasn’t changed on that.
Yes this is difficult and he’s under huge pressure now but he deserves a chance to rebuild the team in the summer and go again. And I’m very confident he will bring more success in the future.
Thanks for your time. Nobody will get me to change my mind. #nufc
Eddie Howe says “blame me” after derby defeat to Sunderland:
🗣️ “Very painful, painful for supporters. They're the ones I'm thinking of. Very little to use as an excuse. We expect to be criticised so I understand the reaction at the end.
🗣️ “I'm fully committed to the job. I'm disappointed with my delivery today and this week. Today was even tougher than Barcelona.
🗣️ “I absorb the blame — I won't be deflecting it to players until my last breath. It’s going to be a painful few days for me.
🗣️ “It’s not a head loss. Our technical delivery was off today. We missed our midfielders, so it left us unbalanced. We made the game too much like they wanted it.
🗣️ “We never want to go through a hostile reception from crowd. I understand the criticism.”

We struggled badly tonight against a three-man attack consisting of Raphinha, Yamal and Lewandowski.
You’re coming at us with Chris Rigg in your frontline, it’s a bit different.
