I'm sad I didn't do more kig stuff this year at Acen. If you were at tbe kigurumi meetup, I handed out this flyer! I was biased and added im@s kigs to both sides. Font is done by @MattMayuga1. Photo credits in images. These are my main two Otaku joys so I wanted to combine them!

@StrawbebbyJayce If you can form an interest check and get at least 100 responses, we will consider coming to this area! The areas listed are of easy access to myself and Usamiku, while other locations are very difficult for us to get to or not enough interest to cover flight/hotel.

smaller, fandom-based events focused on community, where artists and attendees are more like equals. low-cost, local, free of restrictions. specialized merch for the event rather than a sprawling catalog. profit still possible but not a priority without the barrier of entry.

I do think the future is smaller events, local events, and fandom focused events. Everyone who attended ffxiv fanfest understands how fun an event for one fandom can be. And I do think there's a lot of people for whom this sort of community cannot be found at large cons anymore

@aPeacefulSin It really depends. Tables at cupsleeves are not 6ft long. They are usually 4ft. So both of you and the other artist would be sharing 2ft of space each. That 4ft also has to to encompass 3 people behind the table as well as all the luggage.

@kiguloid I know space needs to be considered and being mindful but was curious if that’s a possibility within cupsleeves event or is it even a thing that can happen?

Just so everyone knows, artist alley tables are extremely, extremely limited. Cupsleeve events are small pop-up events usually held in cafés.
I would say we are primarily looking for people interested in filling the other roles listed. Thank you for your interest! ❤️

@aPeacefulSin Pictures of the physical merch isn’t necessary, you can just use the drawings as an example. We just don’t want non-vocaloid fans applying to a vocaloid themed event

@aPeacefulSin I’m not sure! We are already in the planning stages for our next event, but if people fill out the interest check after we already pick our artists for that one, we can always check back and look at artists when we host another one.

@SeaSlugWitch I would recommend applying separately. Cupsleeve are not the same as cons where we can fit a ton of artists sadly. :(

Cupsleeves can usually only hold up to 5 tables at max, depending on venue size. To include more artist, we would usually force tablesplit. Applying as a duo instead of single artist means we have an entire table that would go to only your group.
