From AKB48's 20th Anniversary Documentary: Oguri Yui: "The way I see things, the scenery changes year by year and that’s why I felt like there are perspectives now that didn’t exist before. Being able to stand on stage together with so many seniors while still not even having graduated myself, it was a performance where I felt I had so much to learn, so much to take in, that my heart was completely full. Naruchan said before that when she watched the seniors from backstage, she felt a kind of frustration and when I stood on the same stage and saw it for myself, I understood that feeling too. Watching the way AKB48 was back then, during that era of course I thought, 'Wow, they’re amazing' but at the same time, I also felt this strong sense of frustration. I was grateful, of course but at the same time, those mixed emotions were really strong and Naruchan expressed that for us. Because of that frustration, I wanted to show the current AKB48’s strength: to prove what we can do now, so I worked really hard. Still, having seniors come and stand on stage with us for the 20th Anniversary, I realised again just how precious that opportunity was. I hope that the strength of the seniors and the determination of the current members to not lose can reach everyone."
