@jasonomahony Actually, they should just refuse to take part in the whole woke voting process: that would send a strong message to the establishment!

Hard Right voters should register a protest against the unfair PRSTV voting system in future by refusing to put down any preferences after the first preference. That’ll teach the centrists.

@shelie2019 @JamesDonnellySF FF and FG have been consistent in stating they will not be in Government with SF. So your issue will not arise. Everyone knows SF will need one or both of them to be in government.

@JamesDonnellySF Your Party needs to guarantee that it wont go into a govt that has either FF or FG in it. Be a real left party People dont want FFG in office anymore. The left together got President Connolly elected.

As a proud republican first and foremost, I have always been firmly against trying to form some form of pact with other left parties as a means of SF eventually forming a government. We are big enough and bold enough to do it ourselves without relying on others. I still stand by that now.

Sinn Féin, the main opposition party in Ireland, has lost out to a smaller left-wing rival in yesterday's by-election result in Dublin — and Sinn Féin leader Mary Lou McDonald is feeling the heat. politico.eu/article/sinn-f…

@TullMcAdoo @louthec The Irish language is just a weapon as far as SF is concerned. The use it as such every day in NI. No more Shinners are fluent in it than any other group in the population of Ireland.

Mary Lou has done enormous damage to her candidate here. She got up and told a massive whopper. Only 3 of 17 candidates in the by-election are fluent in Irish. Fine Gael's Sean Kyne, Míde Nic Fhionnlaoich of the Sockies and Aontú's Orla Nugent. independent.ie/irish-news/sin…

Sinn Fein are not nationalists. They are 32-county socialist republicans. They only care about the northern border - every other border should be open. If Sinn Fein were in charge of a 32-county Irish republic, Ireland as a nation would cease to exist within a generation.
Michelle O’Neill@moneillsf

For the first time ever, there could be three nationalist, pro-Independence First Ministers across these islands. Historic change is happening. The demand for independence is growing.

🔴 European intelligence reports potential Russian coup involving Sergei Shoigu. According to CNN, the Kremlin has restricted Vladimir Putin’s movements to fortified bunkers and intensified security for top military commanders following reports that the former defense minister maintains enough influence to lead an elite-driven assassination or power grab.

I'm struck today by the contrast between the clever diplomacy of King Charles and Queen Camilla and the embarrassing stupidity of Catherine Connolly. We could have had Heather Humphreys in the Àras doing a good job. Irish voters: what the hell were you thinking?!

@paddymacc1 This misleading, borderline incorrect. It is believed he was representing himself. If that’s the case he was not denied. Also interesting to see he wants to use the very law he has been sh!tting on all over! Like seriously!!!

Regardless of one's stance on the Burke case, it is concerning how it is permissible for Enoch Burke to be denied the right to have legal representation present at the hearing, while the School was permitted to have legal counsel.

Read my latest blog. “The prospect of achieving Irish unity is now firmly on the political horizon. It’s this reality which is driving the increasing arrogance, negativity & confrontational approach of the DUP, & others in political unionism.”

Enoch Burke will win his case for wrongful dismissal, eventually. They know this and as a result, two of the appeal panel members who essentially rigged the process against him have resigned. What will be the repercussions for the corrupt and incompetent judges that unfairly maligned Enoch and then took away his freedom ? #HowIrelandWorks

My brother teacher @EnochBurke was released from prison today. He spent over 560 days in a jail cell for refusing to bow to transgender ideology. His release today however is a total mockery of justice. Judge Brian Cregan knows full well that Enoch will return to his place of work, Wilson’s Hospital School, and then faces an immediate return to prison. This stunt by Judge Cregan, after he threatened in December to keep Enoch imprisoned indefinitely, is nothing but an attempt to damage Enoch’s standing in the public eye. At the same time Judge Cregan was today counselling the Disciplinary Appeal Panel on how best to respond to a legal challenge by Enoch Burke - this panel held a shambolic and disgraceful appeal “hearing” in December which was utterly devoid of fairness and justice. One Panel member, Geraldine O’Brien, blatantly stated at the outset of the hearing “If I were instructed by my Principal to call a child whatever, I have to implement that instruction, I don’t make the instruction”. Judge Brian Cregan is now counselling this Panel as they seek to defend the indefensible in the High Court. This is an utter travesty of justice.

Enoch Burke@EnochBurke

BREAKING: Teacher Enoch Burke speaks after his release from Mountjoy Prison Judge Brian Cregan today ordered Enoch Burke’s release after threatening in December to keep him imprisoned indefinitely. Today in the High Court Judge Cregan counselled the Disciplinary Appeal Panel (set up to hear Enoch Burke’s appeal of his purported dismissal) on how best to respond to a legal challenge by Burke. At the appeal hearing on the 13th of December, Enoch Burke was subjected to an Appeal Panel that blocked cross-examination of witnesses from the school, denied him fair procedures and abruptly ended the hearing without closing submissions.
