My daughter broke her arm playing at my sister-in-law's house. We went to the hospital to get it fixed. Total with cast and all was around $7-8K maybe. I went through health insurance obviously at the hospital but soon after the insurance came back and seemed very unwilling to pay. They were trying to find out if there was a homeowners insurance they could go after to recoup their cost. I went through my employer and it took a lot of effort avoiding going after my sister-in-laws homeowners, which I obviously did not want to, as not to have their premiums go up.

Sad world we live in. My son’s friend fell in our backyard and broke his arm. The dad came over and started asking questions alluding to the fact that he was looking for an excuse to sue. Luckily, the kid tripped on a hill and rolled down and was a foot short of my property line.
