CHARLIE BLACKMON IS PRETTY UNANIMOUS!✅✅✅✅ Charlie Blackmon has received 99% of over a staggering 87,000 votes and is now officially the 72nd player to be inducted into the Hall of Pretty Good. This vote is undoubtedly the most historic in Hall of Pretty Good history. Blackmon shattered Dee Gordon’s previous total vote record of 54,571 votes and is now only the 2nd player in HoPG history to have received 99% of the vote, joining Adam Jones in the incredibly prestigious “Pretty Unanimous” tier. While the HoPG hasn’t been around for a long time at this point, this is a vote that will be talked about for a long time.

@JazzePinkman I haven’t been to a mammoth playoff game yet, but let’s not forget how insane Jazz playoff games are. Next year when both teams are in the playoffs is gonna be special

This is a great read. Love seeing the playoffs pull more people to the Mammoth. This fanbase is getting bigger, louder, and more passionate. The team is young and we have some demons coming up in the prospect pool. Utah is here to stay.

Some thoughts after finally get to my first Mammoth game: I’ve seen The Delta Center in different capacities—Jazz games (playoffs too), concerts, UFC—but this was my first hockey experience, and it was easily my favorite. The crowd and the vibe for a Mammoth game is very much different than the crowd and vibe for a Jazz game. Sure, there’s a lot of crossover… but people go ALL OUT for the Mammoth. You see it in the merch. You see it in the face paint. You see it in the blue beards and hair. Simply put: the fans are more fanatical. As for the vibe? Night-and-day difference. Jazz games can feel a bit tame/mellow/reserved at times. It embraces and emphasizes the family-friendly atmosphere—which is great for a state like Utah. Now, that’s not to say Mammoth games aren’t family-friendly—can’t wait to bring my family next year. But, the Mammoth games are more edgy and along the lines of “anything goes.” The chug cams were constant throughout the night, and the crowd went crazy for a mom who pounded a pint in the spotlight. It’s just different, but it didn’t have to be… so shout out to everyone involved in letting the hockey scene organically do its thing here in Utah. The Mammoth could have gone the way of the Jazz, but instead embraced the chaotic craziness that is hockey fans. You’re probably not even reading anymore, but one last thought here, and on the sport as a whole… The long, sustained, and uninterrupted stretches of intensity in hockey are an absolute DRUG. I know not every game is like the one I witnessed last night, but that is hockey at its finest… and at its finest, there’s nothing quite like it. Soccer is the closest thing to having that ongoing intensity, but the game moves like a snail compared to the fast-paced action that is hockey. As a sports fan who leads with emotion, I had never felt that when watching hockey. That all changed last night. I felt all of the things. And I can say I’m a fan for life. Let’s. Go. Utah.

Victor Vodnik needs to take a break from closing for a bit. The Halvorsen call up should maybe be a new direction for that role.
