As a new mom, this is something that I already think about. I see the negative impact of social media in grade 6 students constantly, especially girls and their social relationships. I don’t want that for my daughter :( I’ll be looking for lots of advice when the time comes!

Human foosball was quite the test of teamwork! Students needed to stay (mostly) on their lines and only move side to side, while holding long skipping ropes to stay connected. Once they got the hang of it they began strategizing and moving the ball with ease 👏🏼 @SACTVDSB

It was so hard picking just 4 slides to share from the incredible work #HClass23 did on their Ice Cream @shapegrams. Some strong, descriptive writing to start the year using the Thinking Stems and RADaR editing strategy.

We had a productive week preparing for our students to arrive @SirArthurCurrie Feeling so blessed to have @SSquire as my admin partner! The school is clean, the classrooms are organized & beautifully prepared, and first day lessons are ready to go! Now we just need our kiddos!

@Mr_H_Teacher I’m sure you could rock a few moves! My favourite part was the disco. You’ll have to let me know what your students think, I miss them already! You will enjoy your group this year :)

@kimanders0n Thanks, After making the first one, the subsequent versions are quick to reproduce. I'd like to say I based it on some real dance moves, but I think I can only do the final one - sitting on a couch.

@sbruyns Most of the locals use tractors. There are a few entertaining shows every summer where a pickup truck gets stuck in the water while launching so a tractor is hooked up to pull it out and then tons of water comes flowing out of the truck! But yes, everyone has their methods :)

@kimanders0n Was going to reach out to you to see how popular tractor launches are. We got to chat with lots of cool cottagers 😎. Launching a Hobie Cat was certainly a “site” amongst all the tractors.

Another great day of sailing! Baby Bea’s first beach day. Had to giggle at the tractor method of launching boats. The shoreline was filled with old red tractors by mid day #Ipperwash

The boys took their maiden voyage on the new 18’ Hobie Cat. Too rough for me. My role was photographer and beach snacks ⛵️
