Can’t really explain the shock, the horror & sorrow. We are all in shock today All Yemenis - those of us who knew him or knew of him - are shocked with the killing of the acting director of the Social Fund for Development - SFD - in Yemen Wesam Qaid. Wesam narrowly escaped abduction by the Houthis & fled to Aden in 2024. He is the one of the most prominent Yemenis in the development sector & has led the relocation of the SFD from Sanaa to Aden. He was abducted in Aden in the afternoon & then was found killed in the outskirts.

I will never forget this moment in Lebanon's war. I was 12 years old and it pierced my heart when I read about it in local news and I think also in Paris Match.
