Direct, O Lord we beseech you, all our actions by your holy inspiration. And carry them on by your gracious assistance, that every prayer and work of ours may begin always from you - - and by you be happily ended.

I don't disagree with the voucher issue. It does NOTHING for rural North Carolina counties-that's not the only issue with the DPI part of the budget. The amount of money set for school health, mental health and social worker type positions is also outrageous. Why not have a voucher system for a psychologist instead of funding "school psychologists" and creating a compact to allow out of state school psychologist immediate licensure?

@Kevin_Coulter_1 NC Republicans treat public schools like everything else they despise. They cut funding to the point of failure then use the failure as an excuse to funnel $$ to their side hustle, in this case… private school vouchers. #ncpol

@politicalmath @BlueRepublik Worse, telling them that it is wrong hurts their feelings. People who hurt them are bad. Ergo, you are bad. Ergo ergo, the original point stands.

There really is no way around this. Liberals will say "X is true" and you look at the data and say "no it isn't" and they will just simply not adjust their narrative they will ignore all rebuttals, they will reject all evidence. they will say forever "this is true" while the plain data shows that it is not You can't fight that. They're not arguing from evidence. They are just religious cultists who believe the narrative and the data be damned.

This is super common among liberals. "I have objective evidence that right wingers are evil. They must be delusional" I looked at the data that @BlueRepublik is referencing and found that it is, quite plainly, not true. But they keep telling each other it is true.
🔰Chief Georgist Shill 🔰@BlueRepublik

I’m curious how any right winger actually engages this Clear direct evidence that their worldview is wrong, and liberals are more magnanimous to their political opponents than conservatives are in this situation I suppose you just run and hide back in your echo chamber

It is crazy how much ‘job growth’ in places like California and NY is just people getting paid by Medicaid to hang out with elderly relatives or something similar. This endemic, expanding, low grade, entropic corruption is one of the defining economic and cultural features of our era.

You act like this is some kind of grift. You take a job at $14k a year and tons of time away from your family and see if you wouldn't try to find a way to be around your family more and make it work. You wrote a substack about graduating from high school in May. Maybe think about the your first job before you criticize people who are working three-one to make a living, one to serve the people, and one to lead their families. Do you even know how far of a drive it is for my rep? (His wife keeps their business and farm running while he's in Raleigh in an expensive rental). It's between 5.5 hours and 6.5 hours depending on traffic. It's faster to go to five state capitals than to go to Raleigh. It's faster to go to Panama City than a North Carolina beach. Congratulations on graduating high school, life will teach you when you're on the mark or not more than high school will. You're off the mark on this one. Come back when you've done that.

#INVESTIGATION: Phil Berger, NC's most powerful legislator, employs his wife in his office. So do 30 of his colleagues. Cost to taxpayers: $998,549 annually. Zero job postings. Zero competitive process. Zero merit? zachkahn.substack.com/p/nepotism-in-… #politics #nc #ncpol #nepotism #usa

The word ‘timid’ is in ‘intimidate.’ ‘Intimidate’ means "to make timid.” That’s kind of neat, right?

@r3gulations Spencer Pratt and Graham Platner arrived in my consciousness at around the same time and hell if I don't have to sit and think about whether this is the California homeless guy or the Maine Nazi tattoo guy.
