Big news: Rork raised a $15M seed round led by @leftlanecap with a16z @speedrun, @peakxvpartners, @trueventures, @GoodwaterCap, and others.
Our team has been building mobile apps for the App Store since we were kids. Now we're making it possible for everyone else to do the same.
And this is our story – in tribute to Howard Roark.

Security researchers at DEFCON conference this year asking Mythos whether their system has any security vulnerabilities:

Peter Wildeford🇺🇸🚀@peterwildeford
"Mythos found a 27-year-old vulnerability in OpenBSD—which has a reputation as one of the most security-hardened operating systems in the world and is used to run firewalls [...] The vulnerability allowed an attacker to remotely crash any machine running the operating system"

Imma Rant -- Apple just exited the PC Market.
One of the biggest design choices in what made Personal Computers "PCs" was the ability to configure them the way you see fit. What a different operating system? Change it. Need a larger hard drive? install a new one and keep going. How many ports does it have? Well, how many do you want?
As of exactly today the entire Apple lineup has more in common with the first Xbox than the first Mac. When you see their ecosystem of devices as consoles, a lot of other plays start to make a lot more sense.
This means that because the entire stack is fully controlled that they can do far deeper integration between devices, and tighten up their ecosystem so it feels like a single experience... which, they kinda announced when they showed off Liquid Glass (I promise it will make more sense soon).
You can literally mark today as the day the last Apple PC died, and I'm willing to bet their upcoming AI play was only truly possible because of this move.

I think I realized why I actually stopped reading The Verge: it feels like they just don’t like tech
Life is stressful enough, just let me enjoy it
