@Honcalebamisi @elonmusk Successful business people have limited dirty games like the ones you are describing. Let legislation take it's path and business will thrive best within it--the global market for fear is saturated

Dear brother Ruto,@elonmusk is not Uhuru. This one will peel you off ,wash you clean, mince you,fry you and feed you to global vultures !

Why is the National Cereals and Produce Board compensating farmers for fake fertiliser supplied by a private company called MEMS? SURELY, how can a public body take the financial responsibilities of a private company? Why did NCPB in the first place pay billions to MEMS? Has MEMS now returned the money? Where is NCPB getting the money to refund farmer? Who are GODFATHERS behind MEMS? WHO is killing this national scandal in all the NEWSROOMS?

Sustainability debates need to be taken a notch higher to avoid the need for such high_level intervention.
It's been clear in the past 10 years that donkey consumption was not sustainable.
This should be the true lense for evaluation of investments

If you are located in Kisumu, Homabay, Siaya, Migori, Busia, and have been interested in onion farming or know a group of enthusiastic young women and men who are passionate about horticultural farming but face challenges with accessing capital and finding markets, we are eager to collaborate with them. We would appreciate it if you could kindly share their contact information with us. We have an interesting project for them.

@kipsangar @MWAUE @tabe_ojong What were the instruments for this endogeneity? Hardworking and resilience? @kipsangar, remind me.

They all agreed we cant assess causality accurately while strictly holding vital things constant and unconditional rationality of agents.

@tabe_ojong @AgEconSoc Yep. It's a signal that markets exists and are doing a good job in absorbing production surpluses and filling consumption demand deficits. I guess someone will soon be motivated to jump into this and give more empirical insights. In any case you made a great start! Bravo
English

@kipsangar @AgEconSoc I think it's really a trade-off of profitability versus dietary diversity. Oil palm is profitably but displaces food production (dietary diversity). Farmers could in principle rely on income gains for nutrition but there exists significant room to increase these income gains.
English

In this published #OA paper in @AgEconSoc, we show that oil palm production is associated with lower dietary diversity for women, lower consumption of pulses, fruits and vegetables, and lower farm production diversity despite income gains in Cameroon. doi.org/10.1111/1477-9…

@HusseinTwario Good. These reliability networks may not exist or strong enough for the poorest in the communities. It's clear business model connecting the actors in this ecosystem and the role of development agencies will obviously be ranked the lowest by herders with reasonable herds.

Defining and gathering high-frequency and representative data for policy-relevant indicators from complex ecosystems like pastoral drylands can be a up-hill task. A great crew (cgspace.cgiar.org/handle/10568/1…) took the bold step to develop a replicable and scalable protocol. Bravo!
