The US does not make or have enough forest products, agricultural products, potash, fertilizer, aluminum steel, oil and gas (yes you get a lot of oil and gas from Canada), uranium and rare minerals (for your cell phones and computers), auto parts and hundreds of other products. The US is decades away from being able to produce 100% of the products American companies and consumers rely on. Fact is no country on earth produces 100% of what it needs.
