It was a lapse of taste for David Laws to publish this letter which was a private, comradely & humourous message from @liambyrnemp to his successor. Byrne was signed up to cutting the deficit by the amount Mr Osborne delivered. And of course there was money left. #soundmoney

Someone with a supposedly good job working for a national legislator can’t afford to own a car (if they want to), have children or buy a home. Instead they have to live like a permanent student in a house share.

Katy works for me. She is single & earns less than 30k, rents a room for £775pcm in Central London, has student debt, £120 a month on travelling to work saves money every month, goes on foreign holidays & does not need to use a foodbank. Katy makes my point really well.

Having #ALS is definitely unfortunate but what do I have to complain about? Five years later and I am still here, still talking, still eating, still living a fulfilling life. It could be so, so much worse. I’m so grateful. Life is all about perspective. #FightLikeAGirl
