It's hard to believe that a few weeks ago, I was in Critical Care on a ventilator with my heart, kidneys & liver failing. Now, I've just managed a litter pick. I had to stop after one bag as I'm not strong enough yet, but at least I've done something to help keep the area tidier.

Today is the first day where I've started to get my head around what multi-organ failure means and how close I was to dying. I’m absolutely shattered, and it's just hit me that my recovery is going to take months and months and months. This has been far bigger than I realised. I'm also confused and overwhelmed. Thank you for all the magnificent support I have received and I hope I can give back some of the positivity, optimism and hope I have had every day through photos, music, lovely kind words and more. Thank you.

18 months on from attempting to take my own life, I’ve finally been discharged from Community Mental Health services this week! Living with mental illness is a lifelong challenge & I still await specialist services in the future, but this is a huge moment in my recovery journey.
