Not buying a blue check really wrecks your ability to get views at all on this platform. Pay to play, sigh

@VladTheInflator Also Texas is huge. Twice the size of Germany. We could fit another 100 million here with proper development. And still have vast empty space

@VladTheInflator Nobody lived in Texas until the 1970s. It was an absolutely brutal hostile place before widespread air conditioning. The vast majority of people came here after the 2000s. If it were only original Texans we would be around 7-10million population today. Instead of 31M

ChudTheBuilder update: According to a witness who attended court yesterday— While advocating for a gag order on Dalton, DA Robert Nash reportedly told the judge that “Dalton’s abuse of First Amendment privileges is what got us into this mess in the first place.” Yes, he referred to the First Amendment as a privilege, not a right, before proceeding to blame Dalton’s speech for leading to the situation.

@Cash2Crypto @TaylerUSA Nope. She was very explicit about why I was fined. Cursing in public around minors (even if you are one yourself is disorderly conduct. It’s fine if you don’t believe it. You’re just some guy on the internet 😅

@kithellegaming @TaylerUSA They got you on a (disorderly charge) your behavior, not your words. Nice spin. You must have not gone to trial. You can talk anyway you see fit. Sounds more like you gave up to the DA trying to prosecute you.

@lostnfoul @TaylerUSA I did yes. It didn’t matter. The judge was not shy about it at all. My mom was furious. I’m 40 now. To this day I’m cautious about what I say in public

@TaylerUSA “Cursing in front of children” (the kid was friggen 16 and passing by our house) I cited the first amendment and the judge laughed at me and so did the cop and bailiff She told me to learn the constitution and laws and not correct her. I was 14 at the time. Life lesson

@TaylerUSA You can get charged for simple cursing. If the offending party reports you. Even regular curse words like sh*t and fu*k (which is what got me) I wasn’t even talking to the person. I was just in my front yard with friends yapping. She called the cops on me. The fine stuck

@4nt1p4tt3rn The majority of cost is from labor. A young motivated guy can renovate their house for 1/8th the cost with a little time and patience Instead we watch tv or video games all day. You can absolutely buy a a cheap crap home and over a year make it nice. I did

@4nt1p4tt3rn My backyard deck I want built was quoted at 6-8k from several companies. Cost to build it myself and have the wood shipped to me from Home Depot? $485

This sort of thing is why my wife abandoned this app for threads. The algorithm randomly just deciding to flood you with things you don’t care about at all

Meta laying off so many people isn’t even surprising. I have several friends in high level positions working for them. The work culture there is brutal. 70-90 hour weeks and zero sympathy or mercy. It’s the kind of job you work for a few years and cash out of quickly

Riot installing malware onto your computer can’t be legal, can it? Gamers need to run for political office so we can right the wrongs done to our communities. Not me though, someone else. I’m too busy gaming 😅

@Notwokenow Effectively even on big tickets over 200 dollars I still always minimally tip 18% If you or the other staff suck or the food is not up to par I just don’t come back. And I’ll tell every one of my friends to avoid your establishment as well.

@Notwokenow Depends on the costs <100 25% >100 20% >200 18% Throw in 5% for food service: 30/25/23% Most of the time it’s the bigger number. Lower for average service. Never lower or zero. Bad service I tip and just never go back.

The standard tip I leave is 20%. If the service is great, I leave more. If the service sucks, I adjust accordingly. (But I never change my tip based on food quality. Servers don’t have anything to do with that. What’s your tipping policy?
