Men in my life have always treated me well, often while working hard difficult jobs and I hate to hear them degraded by people too rich to ever know a fraction of their character or suffering.

Then i found "White Box: Fantastic Medieval Adventure Game" and pretty much switched over to that for my 0e D&D needs. It's the same core info, but with language and formatting that makes it easier to understand and explain.

I guess no one actually plays D&D?
Looked at the replies and the tone of worship for the objects belies a lack of having actually played these books.
My set are dear friends I've been perusing for almost 50 years.
I treat them with caution, but I also still use them when prepping game sessions.
It makes me sad to think hardly anyone plays the old game anymore.
I wager there are less than 100,000 Classic D&D players in the world.
It is such a great game too.
