This new paper looking at 90k scientists shows why the US needs immigrants. In the 1920s, the US mostly stopped Southern & Eastern Europeans (especially Jews) from entering the US. In addition to the human cost, this reduced patents by 68% in key fields for the next 30 years! 1/2

@StevenNatera @jwpalmer @Ghost This is the area where automation would be helpful. But I have a few make commands I can run to build and deploy a new image quickly

@StevenNatera @jwpalmer @Ghost We using the S3 stroage adapter for the content related files. As for themes and other configs those are included in the docker image. So if those are changed a new image is built. That way we can run multiple instances easily as well

Does @Ghost work with containers (Docker) and manages databases? Most articles seems to point to managing your own VM.

@jwpalmer @StevenNatera @Ghost Yes, we are using Docker, ECS, Fargate, and RDS for hosting multiple @Ghost sites. I still need to automate deployment but it’s working quite well
