Thrilled to announce I’ll be staring my PhD in Clinical Psychology at the University of Iowa under the mentorship of Dr. Molly Nikolas next year! So thankful for the mentors, friends, and family that have helped get me here, especially everyone at CCHMC!

Sending this to the #psychology nerds on the platform, is there any work out there about the overlap of somatic/body awareness and positive psychology? I understand that somatic work usually are trauma oriented and I could see value in body awareness of flourishing and joy

I’ve been wondering about body awareness based on several YA ADHD females in a study mentioning that they feel unaware of their body, making them accident prone. I feel like this is common but don’t know of research on it.
