@klahrl @mishtal Yes, all Palestinians. 6% Jews actually. All living together- mostly in harmony. They never consented to the area they lived in being confiscated as a home for Jewish people. Would you accept that?

For almost 2000 years, "Palestine" was simply a European Christian term for the "Holy Land" or "Land of Israel" That is why the British chose "Palestine" as the name of the mandate "Palestine" is a foreign, colonial label. The idea it has local historical roots is just stupid

I live in a Christian majority country with a deep Christian heritage. The cross appears in our emblems, flag, and our state symbols. Yet for the past month, media and politicians have spoken every single day about Ramadan - and not a word about Lent. Why is that?

@HkSuperted @mishtal The local population is indeed mentioned but Palestine was an area, not a state and the population was mainly Jews and Arabs, all “Palestinians” if you like.

@mishtal Palestine and the people already living there were specifically mentioned in the Balfour Declaration. You cannot erase them.

The “Palestine Post” which became the “Jerusalem Post”!
Richard Bligdon #PPC@RichardBligdon

@mishtal Eusebius said that in 135 CE the Roman emperor Hadrian renamed the area of Judah,Judea and Samaria as Syria/Palestina(Roman province) to infuriate the jews and remind them of their ancient enemy the phillistines. Robert Spencer said that the 1929 Palestine Post referred to Jews.

Is it so hard to condemn the Islamic Republic for targeting Israeli civilians with ballistic missiles using cluster munitions with delayed fuses? You don’t even have to back Israeli military action. But “our condolences, please ratify the treaty” is so detached.

@tony49 @James_J_Marlow Her general ignorance that Iran is a threat to all in the West. In response once again the PM loses his moral compass and manages to make it all about the cost of living! A true statesman. Not.

And another Labour backbencher can’t resist by accusing Israel of a genocide and killing “schoolgirls” in Iran, without a single word about Israeli civilians murdered and Iranian protesters murdered. And this people think they are FOR human rights.

FACTS The BBC have for decades employed two Jew haters in senior international reporting roles . @JohnSimpsonNews described President Assad of Syria who butchered over 600,000 innocent Syrians as ‘ not a wicked man ‘ and his equally biased colleague @BowenBBC both referred to the now deceased Larijani who killed 40,000 protesting Iranians as a ‘moderate and pragmatist ‘and someone ‘ easy to do business with ‘ Berlin 1945 - Allies kill Himmler and Goehring ….. The BBC reporters Simpson ‘ well I did meet Himmler - charming man and a pragmatist and now who are the Allies going to do business with ‘ and Bowen - ‘ Goehring was not a wicked man - a moderate and the problem for the allies may be the Nazis get someone more extreme ‘

As someone who isn’t Jewish, watching the last two months unfold has been eye‑opening. The sheer volume of open hostility toward Jews and Israel has been impossible to miss. Whatever people think about Trump, Netanyahu, or specific policies, too many are letting a deep hatred of Jews and of Israel do the thinking for them. That hatred is now so normalized that it’s drowning out any honest debate about strategy, morality, or facts and that should alarm anyone who cares about basic decency. That’s why this point resonates with me: reducing everything to “Israel controls Trump” isn’t serious foreign‑policy analysis, it’s recycling an old antisemitic trope instead of grappling with hard realities.

Unbelievably the FT has this as its top story, clearly without anyone seriously looking to see what it was all about. If they had done, it falls apart.

@joekent16jan19 Funny how people who were calling Joe Kent an extremist who claimed the 2020 election was rigged and pushed conspiracy theories about the Capitol riot now suddenly treat him as a credible expert who must be listened to. Politics is funny like that. x.com/joekent16jan19…

Gold Star wife here. When ISIS killed your wife, you supported going after the people responsible. You understood exactly why we were fighting and never called it “Israel’s war.” My husband, Alan, was killed by Iranian proxies in Iraq. And now, after decades, the fight is finally leading back to the number one state sponsor of terrorism in the world. You understood it when it was your loss. Now you’re minimizing it when it’s mine. You don’t get to redefine this war just because it’s not your grief anymore.
Joe Kent@joekent16jan19

After much reflection, I have decided to resign from my position as Director of the National Counterterrorism Center, effective today. I cannot in good conscience support the ongoing war in Iran. Iran posed no imminent threat to our nation, and it is clear that we started this war due to pressure from Israel and its powerful American lobby. It has been an honor serving under @POTUS and @DNIGabbard and leading the professionals at NCTC. May God bless America.

Now that I’ve watched this interview I feel our national interest and security are in safe hands. And I can see why we strike fear and terror into our enemies, from the Kremlin to Tehran.
