As content creators on the internet, we have a role in ensuring that we help create a safe and respectful community. I have failed in this regard. I understand that my title made me seem like I'm dismissive of a form of digital harm that causes real and lasting trauma. For that, I’m genuinely sorry to everyone that I've hurt or disappointed. This has been a bit of a wake-up call. I don't want to be viewed as someone who supports this. Instead of saying “I'll be more careful,” I'm going to try my best to help spread awareness about this, so, in my next stream, I plan to take time to speak seriously about why this issue matters and how we, as a community, can be more mindful and supportive of those affected.
