We keep using and accepting the excuses to not pay people a decent human wage in the service industry because if they did, prices would go up. Prices are going up now due to cost of food

Servers are not automatically entitled to tips. Tipping culture has distorted the service industry and this ridiculous demand that servers have for customers. Wages are not the responsibility of the customers that’s for the management. Servers were never meant to be adults, this was originally HS Students and college kids. This is why the wages were initially so low. The expectation to earn a living as a server is ridiculous and unrealistic. Stop blaming the customers for your lack of wages as a server.
