Emmitt Johnson averaged over 150 scrimmage yards a game last season and was one of, if not the best running back in college football. I’m still in shock that Kansas City picked him up. Once Walker’s contract expires, he may just be the next franchise back.

That has never been the case. I’ve been getting a lot of flak from fans for being too negative about this draft. I’ve been very hard on the Delane pick. One example of me getting stuff right: I was higher on Rashee Rice than anybody covering the Chiefs pre-draft (it was cool to make fun of him) and nailed his exact utilization on draft night, something almost nobody else saw.

He has a much lower floor than Mansoor Delane, but Peter Woods has the highest ceiling in the Chiefs’ 2026 Draft Class. Was the number one overall player on several prominent draft guru boards a year ago.

@shigetcrazy @PatMcAfeeShow He did that once. For 2023 and 24 he averaged less than 4.0 YPC which is not much better than what we had. It's not a "big" upgrade, it's a slight upgrade and not a big enough upgrade to affect the passing game. If the passing game improves it will be because of the new coaches.
