How do you explain that people who fled to a functioning society with reliable institutions and active checks and balances are rooting for the continued leadership of a leader who has trailed in catastrophic failure? Good news: South East Maths Olympiad winners Egejurum Onyedikachi, Onwubiko Chimdiebube and Don-Anele Munachimso have now been invited to participate in International STEM Olympiad Grand Finale happening in Rome from July 2nd - 8th. They will be competing with students from 153 countries. I'm confident that they will bring back the Gold medals from each category. We will shine in he world stage. Their teachers will be going alongside them too. The cost of this trip for all of them including registrations, flights, tours, hotels etc will be £32,200. What should we do?

As a matter of urgency, the government needs to revive all state libraries in the South East. A section of it has to be digitized and the other part equipped with recent books. We need to revive the reading culture in our children. Nothing else matters more than this!

I’m thinking for 2027 South East Maths Olympiad, we should make the price money more exciting. Senior Category winner - N10 million Junior Category winner - N5 million Primary Category winner - N3 million Teacher for any category winner - N2 million School for any category winner - N5 million So we can set everywhere on fire, knowing that everyone has something to gain. We should make education more exciting than anything else. That is the only way we can positively engage this generation and make the best out of them. We are building the greatest and the most talented workforce from Africa. What do you think?

I would love to challenge South East Maths winners with a global challenge where top students from China, Korea, Singapore, Finland, Germany and the USA compete intensely with them. I want to see them excel in world stages. We are building the greatest workforce in Africa.

Next year, I need to support that South East Maths Olympiad. And I’ll encourage every 30+ Igbo man out there to plan for it too. Even if it’s N5000, it will go a long way. We can complain about now, but let’s build for the future.
