How could we get more sponsors for Vue ecosystem projects?
I see several core projects on Vue struggling with capacity because authors can't work solely on their libraries (I know because I'm one)
Any ideas 😋?

I forgot lazygit, which is been my new git client. Really nice. Also installed delta (github.com/dandavison/del…) for my git config.

Just did a fresh macOS install — writing down what I set up:
• Superhuman: fast email client
• Ghostty: super fast terminal
• Neovim: default editor
• Raycast: better spotlight
• CleanShot X: better screenshot tool
• Notion: work notes + calendar
• Chrome: default browser
• 1Password: best password manager
• Spotify: my music hub
• Screenflow: lightweight video capture + editor
• Screen Studio: another nice video tool

I use zsh (default on macOS) with some customizations in my .zshrc, but pretty minimal to keep startup fast.
There's a few macOS defaults I change:
• Remap caps lock to escape
• mkdir ~/Developer (it has a fancy icon in finder!)
• Faster keyboard repeats
• defaults write -g InitialKeyRepeat -int 15
• defaults write -g KeyRepeat -int 1
• Show hidden files in finder
• defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles YES

Not all records you’re happy about breaking: @Cloudflare recently mitigated the largest ever reported hyper-volumetric #DDoS attack. 3.8 terabits per second (Tbps) and 2.14 billion packets per second (Bpps). Handled automatically any without any customer impact. Details to come.

@youyuxi Yeah but when my brain sees quotes, it thinks strings, regardless of what it actually is and the code highlighting. I'm sure a lot of people feel the same.

One of the most common misconceptions about Vue templates: "they are all strings".
No! Vue template binding values are JS expressions with full type support via IDE extensions and vue-tsc. You can even use TS syntax in bindings.

@youyuxi Isn’t Vue like HTML but with even worse syntax like v-if, and passing variables as strings just so you get absolutely zero type information? That’s a no from me dawg

Why using Next.js then?

Please, Next.js, for the love of god, let middleware.ts bundle like any normal code so I can use it on a VPS and not have it throw cloudflare:sockets errors when using postgres.js. I don't want to use Vercel. I don't care about edge. I don't want a serverless DB like Neon or Planetscale. I want to be able to use a framework with popular libraries, and not have a runtime leaky abstraction force my hand. I literally just told myself I'd stop complaining in public about Next.js after Lee posted he was burned out, but I literally wasted an hour+ recording a tutorial last night walking through setting up postgres locally using docker, setting up drizzle with postres.js, setting up auth.js, connecting it with drizzle, just to finally hit this limitation (that I knew about, but once again forgot about). I delete it all and re-recorded using Neon. This is the reason I dropped Auth.js for Lucia on my starter kit. If you buy into ALL of Next, you'll end up needing edge. @thdxr is right, and it sucks when he's right. Tanstack start is looking hot right now. When it's out of alpha I'm going to try it.
