@Elwood78Mrs @abel_jennifer @mathequalslove @mrbartonmaths I definitely overthought what you were asking. I’ve been doing a lot of prep for my Algebra 2 Honors class. 🤦‍♀️ I also prefer the left. The right can be confusing for my kids, especially my struggling learners. Plus, they learn the left in earlier grades.

@mathequalslove & @mrbartonmaths When solving eqns, do you show your +/- to each side horizontally or vertically? Is one better than the other? I prefer vertically, but it's how I was taught. The textbook we use shows it horizontally. I'd love to read many responses! #iteachmath
