@AnnoDomini79 I’m not entirely convinced he is the man however in mitigation in January we sold 3 first teamers - however bad they’d been playing and wanted out - we took away important tools that would have made it a better end. That said, sales was smart business wise given we were down

@DannyRosamond @Wolves Objectively speaking from talking to people in and around the game. The boy can play. I totally understand RE reticence to blood him earlier in a team lacking character, fight and confidence.

@molineuxmusings @Wolves Annoys me big time how successive managers have regularly picked HHC and yet some people liken him to a park footballer. If you can’t see a good footballer here I suggest you follow another sport.

@Wolves Pretty grim reading some of the comments on this. This doesn’t happen by chance, whether it be our ability to improve upon Hwang or the club’s appreciation of his abilities that the fanbase doesn’t recognise. Either way the bloke deserves a little more respect.

@molineuxmusings @dbutleranalysis Well documented Andre’s young family are back in Brazil. Wife and one boy. RE was credited by Andre for allowing him to have an extended stay in Brazil when the boy was ill. Would suggest he is looking to settle them down in Wolverhampton.

@molineuxmusings 5 year contract. 20m fee. Amortised @4m per year. Wolves won’t release him unless they pay the amortisation fee and cover his salary. Everything else ignore.

There has to be some sort of recompense for the deal we did with them last season. I.E. you can’t just have the bloke back after 6 months of no value to us at the same price. Put up or shut up.
Talking Wolves@TalkingWolves

Celta Vigo manager Claudio Giraldez believes there is a possibility #Wolves loanee Fer Lopez will stay at the Spanish club next season. #WWFC 🗣️ “The first thing is that the club wants him. The second is that the player wants to be here. Furthermore, I think everyone who cares about him has seen that he has developed significantly during his time here.” “Obviously, there are contractual hurdles, there is another club involved, to which the player belongs, Wolverhampton. We will see how we can manage to make it happen.” — @lavozdegalicia via @Sport_Witness

@BigGazLaw not sure they have to justify anything re: the advantage gained. Just show a) there was a rule, b) Southampton knew there was a rule, and c) they knowingly broke it. On top of that, with evidence they've done it repeatedly all season it's got to be the right decision

To justify a punishment for Saints you surely have to be able to quantify an advantage gained? Can the EFL go that? What they did is against the spirit of the game and against the rules but there are levels to the punishment surely?!

@MrRyanLeister @TheWolvesReport EFL rulings tend to be harsher (fairer) than the EPL who can’t compete with clubs paying higher legal and professional fees. The perceived unfairness is a byproduct of systemic failure.

We all know football is a bit more grubby than we’d like to admit & when the rules are broken, punishments should be enforced. However, you can’t pick & choose who you make examples of, they should be consistent at all levels of the game. We’ve a long way to go, unfortunately.

I actually don't see why Raul couldn't lead the line as our first choice No. 9 next season especially having seen his movement and mobility is near enough what it was based on this weekend. If we do sign him, we'll be paying him the wage of our certified No.9 as well.

Lots of talk about Raul Jimenez's age as the prospect of him re-signing for Wolves grows stronger. But what if I told you that in football terms, he isn't really a 35-year old. Let me explain...

@ConceptScouting Hugo Bueno roughly same ages, better attacking but not so defensively. DMW better in a back four. Selling Hugo therefore makes more sense economically

Needs to be one of the first names on the team sheet for me next season. Eredivisie highly transferable to the Championship. DMW is a player who should perform well at that level.

🗣️ David Moller Wolfe | #WWFC “We’ve still got one game left, and don't want to finish bottom of the league, so it’s a big game next week against Burnley. We hope to go above them on the table.” “We wanted to give the fans some hope for next season. We wanted to finish on a positive and a point on Sunday, the way the season has been going, is positive, I think. So we were happy with that. “It would be nice bringing more positive vibes to the next season, where we have a clear goal that we want to go straight back up, so that will be important." #wwfc | Matt Doherty We don’t know what the future looks like for Matt, but it’s a possibility that Sunday could be his last game at Molineux. He’s seen it all at here, league one to Europe, highs and lows & peak Doc under Nuno was something else. He deserves some love & respect tomorrow.

#wwfc | Raul Jimenez Tomorrow we get to acknowledge a proper Wolves legend who for me is the most complete centre forward I’ve ever seen in the old gold. We don’t have many reasons to go tomorrow, but the opportunity to serenade Raul one last time is a big factor. Si Señor 🎶

@amarsmusicshow I wouldn’t say he’s on that level but I’d say he’s on a level with Helder Costa/Cavaleiro from that time. An exciting player that can drive a team forward.

Wolves have initiated contact with Rio Ave over a summer move for Diogo Bezerra (23, 🇧🇷), per O Jogo via Sport Witness. Their scouts have been working Portugal in recent weeks. He's a right winger Rio Ave paid €1.8m to bring in from OFK Beograd in January, signed to 2030. He is is a direct, isolation-and-carry threat. He thrives in 1v1 situations on the touchline, breaks lines with the ball at his feet, gets his shots off, and is creative enough in the final third that the underlying numbers see him as a chance creator as well as a runner. He's not a possession player. He's a winger to give the ball to and step away from. His career has taken him from Red Bull Brasil, Ferroviária, then a move into Europe via Mura in Slovenia, then OFK Beograd in Serbia (2 goals, 8 assists in half a season), and now Rio Ave at 23. He's also represented by Rafaela Pimenta, who took over a chunk of the Mino Raiola portfolio after his death and works with players including Erling Haaland. He's said publicly that the Premier League is the goal. A well-trodden path in terms of Wolves’ recruitment.

@ConceptScouting @rickyleegriffi In the post event I happened to ask that question of Matt Jackson. He agreed. Where he was less assured was when I asked why the same people continue to run operations. Equally, it’s fair to say Wolves have lost seriously talented boys to bigger clubs. Expect another soon

@rickyleegriffi Whether it’s a significant sale or contribution to the first team, Wolves don’t provide either. The academy has been woeful for a long time.

What do we mean by significant sale though? What lower prem teams are consistently getting 10m+ fees for academy players. Most teams 21s groups end up playing lower EFL or non league. Gibbs white and Mane within 5 years doesn’t feel too bad at all
Concept Scouting@ConceptScouting

I do have to question a statement like this. Of all the wrong decisions Wolves have made, selling MGW isn’t one of them - hindsight or otherwise. Cunha came in and became Wolves’ best player as a result and generated a £62.5m sale. The question has to be why, in years and years, is MGW the only significant sale to come from the academy?

@wolvesmolinews One of the most powerful statements last night. We have a 14 year old whose representatives want £2m plus £300k for the agent to stay. Frankly, it’s immoral and despicable and undermines any chance we have to progress outstanding young players.

RE: important not to blood young players too early. Got good upcoming players in academy, but the timing needs to right. MJ: academy system set up to send players to bigger clubs and there is nothing the club can do to retain them when they get to a certain point.

@NathanJudah @PoddyWolves @wolvesmolinews Nathan the most assured with a pretty good grasp of the diagnosis and solution. I followed up when he commented Wolves are regarded as a Fosun Group core strategic asset by asking how that would be matched by a corresponding investment plan. Felt he gave a decent answer.
