This specimen is from a large series (which I rarely get in museum loans). Corythucha spinosa has been reported from Castor bean, Lantana camera, Solanum, and Triumfetta to name a few hosts. #Tingidae #Bugs

What a wonderful #TingidTuesday here is Corythucha spinosa (Duges) this species was described from Mexico and has been reported from several neotropical countries. This specimen was collected in Panama by Gillogly & the late J. C. Schaffner. Specimen from @tamuentomology 1/2

It has been collected on Eriogonum sp., Lantana sp., Salsola pestifer, and Dichanthelium oligosanthes subsp. scribnerianum, but the true host is yet to be worked out.
