Update: I am back in India. @msfbeast007, me and my colleague Aditya, were on the first repatriation flight back from Doha to Delhi yesterday. Feeling relieved and just soaking in everything at the moment. I am also glad my colleagues from the industry @varunkrish @tina_1095 @Tarunpathak managed to head back home before we did. The adventurous bunch who took a land route to Saudi and took a flight back. I need to thank a few people, though. Because, while some humans are waging a war, some others are helping people in a global crisis. I am grateful to be doing the work I do. Because on the very first day, @innamiqbal -- who watches my content and works for @qatarairways -- helped many stuck like me get their bags on time and book flights back home. His colleagues, Thoufeeq, Hisham, and Satish also deserve special mentions here. You have to understand they were working 16-20 hour shifts with no holidays! And yes, Mr. Harish Pandey from @IndEmbDoha deserves a special thanks too. From facilitating quick Visas for Saudi to giving us updates about repatriation flights, Harish and his team at the embassy -- did everything they possibly could to help us! Finally, the Pullman Hotel in Doha -- you have my heart! The hotel kept the grocery store in the property open for 24 hours, slashed laundry prices down to 50% of the original price, and more. This is aside from offering us three meals and giving us rooms! There are many, many stories to tell. But, I will save that for a later date when I feel more centered. It'll take a while because while we are back...the war is not over yet. And, I am still following it closely along with following up with people who are still trying to get back from Doha through the WhatsApp group that Varun and I created. @BlueDart_ @BlueDartCares Your Pune centre has been trying to deliver a package for the last three days. Each time, no one bothers calling, and each time, at the end of the day, it is marked as “Need. Department Name/Extention Number” I repeat. NOBODY called even once.
