@kobdaz I say just skip it and read the manga and the light novel if you haven't yet.
The manga's got a really cool art style and takes a lot of liberties with the story to the point where it's basically its own thing.

The FLCL sequels seem to really overestimate the brand recognition of the series.
Normies didn’t get it, saw it as LOL SO RANDOM incoherent chaos, got bored, watched it once and moved on.
Fans of the original OVA understood the story had completely run its course, that it totally communicated its mood and message and would give the sequel a chance then drop it once they realise it sucks
