A common misconception about this scene that viewers tend to overlook! Is that many people believe that Spider was betraying the Sullys by teaching Quaritch how to properly speak Na’vi, which is not the case. It’s a bonding moment between father and son.

Jace, Luke, and Joffrey are born with the Velaryon name. So, by law they are not bastards in the traditional sense. Vs, Alyn and Addam, are bastard, because they are born with no name tied to them, sired by noblemen out of wedlock.

Laenor claimed them as his true born Sons, king Viserys claimed them as his true born grandson, and Corlys claimed them as his true born grandson as well. And because of that, Rhaenyra sons are not bastards.

The fact that Rhaenyra refused any help during childbirth because of what happened to her mother still hits different. She went through all that pain and trauma alone and still lost the child.
