Today I’m proud that our team has taken another step forward to share our development plans with the world. We are chasing an ambitious roadmap to not only see 1000+ qubit systems in the next few years, but also building the best quantum services for science and business.

Today in #PHY595 #QuantumComputing: We ran a Bell test on IBM Quantum Experience and showed that it violates the CHSH inequality, meaning the universe is not described by a local hidden variable theory. Quantum mechanics is correct again!

Trump was incompetent at his brand of authoritarianism, and he lost. But this isn't a triumph: the Democrats lost almost everything else. Make no mistake, about what's coming: The next Trumpist, in 2024, will be talented, competent and not easy to beat. theatlantic.com/ideas/archive/…

what i don't understand is if Sisyphus hated his job so much, why didn't he just learn to code??

@sogrady Yes, used it to add an access point at the opposite end of a house we were renting. Worked well.

We are happy to release the second revision of our Hummingbird quantum processor to our clients. It is a 65 qubit processor - the largest quantum system ever deployed - with a quantum volume of 32. Compared to R1 it has much lower error rates and is openpulse enabled.

@BlairReeves Wouldn’t ranked choice voting address the pathologies of the recent primaries without resorting to the smoke-filled room?

This is your regular reminder that primaries should be decided using ranked-choice voting.

While tagging photos from August 2014, I found a smiling @kocolosk at Kiyosumi Shirakawa Garden. So very happy to share a good day stomping around Tokyo.

@benmonreal @seibert @terrimyu My list looks similar: git+pipenv for reproducibility, Jupyter for sharing work in progress. Automated tests as one-off scripts / notebooks evolve to shared libraries. Travis is Ok but trending down. Pull Requests for lots of things, with required approvers on critical code.

But if you think of WeWork as a massive transfer of wealth from Saudi Arabia to an Israeli entrepreneur via an ethnic-Korean Japanese visionary it's really a heart-warming story of cross-cultural trade worthy of the Model UN
