The City pays contractors up to R16 000 per security guard while workers survive on under R5000 with no Benefits. In my tenure, I ended the exploitation by insourcing 1,879 cleaners & 4,185 security guards. Given the mandate again, I will insource more workers. #MashabaForMayor

We’ve joined the by-law enforcement team who have successfully closed 4 businesses, issued fines, and arrested 7 illegal immigrants. 🚨🚨🚨🚨 During the operation, Tshwane teams found the following: - Expired food products - Businesses operating without valid trading licences - 7 Illegal immigrants - arrested - Non-payment of municipal water services - Illicit goods and contraband: cigarettes @CityTshwane
