Van Basten was simply the most complete CF to have ever lived. Great receiving with his back to goal, incredible linkup, excellent finisher off both feet and had every type of finish in his locker-volleys, long rangers, headers, acrobatic finishes.

I think it would be beneficial from our perspective to sell one of two ‘stars’ this summer anyway so we can afford the rebuild of the squad that is needed.. But it does make me laugh seeing about 5 or 6 players believe they’ve all outgrown the club. Like lads, you’re the ones playing. If you’re so good go and influence where we finish.
