The Ojude Oba festival in 2025 is expected to generate over ₦2 billion in sponsorship deals, according to a cultural figure and financial executive - Farooq Oreagba.
Now I ask, does it mean we don’t have enough cultural raw material to sell and make same proceeds or even more ?
Or is that the people in charge of this in the state don’t know what to do ?
Anambra state is known world wide as the capital of Igbo heritage and history world wide but here we are, year in year out there’s no Nationwide recognized cultural activity happening here in the state.
Those who have good knowledge of tourism and culture would understand clearly what this factors can do in building economy and growing worldwide recognitions but often the most neglected.

Your excellency, @CCSoludo , I hope you understand the importance of this to your government and bring your good people of Anambra together in the most common and peaceful way.
Remember culture is the people’s way of life and that’s the primary way to give them sense of purpose and belonging.
