He said that once Ukraine eventually completes the full, proper process, he intends to hold a national referendum in Hungary to let the public decide on finalizing their membership. 4. He’s keeping the “no Hungarian weapons to Ukraine” stance, but on money it’s a different story. He’s said he’s ready to back the €90bn EU loan to Ukraine until 2027, as long as Hungary isn’t directly paying into it. By dropping the veto, he’s basically letting serious EU money flow to Kyiv, which is the opposite of Orbán.
