Web3 gaming was the biggest disappointment of the last cycle. Not because the games were bad. Because too many founders trusted the wrong advisors, influencers, and agencies. They were told to prioritize NFT mints and token launches over gameplay, distribution, player acquisition, and long term community building. This was a ploy to use their reputation and communities to pump and dump on the very teams that trusted them. Then they moved on to the next project to scam, while founders and their communities were left dealing with the fallout. Who do you think was to blame? The founders or the scammers who took advantage of them.

TBH the biggest problem with all of these games shutting down, is people care less and less - I don't see "larger" KOLs making content anymore - I don't see players talking about games anymore - People just care LESS overall about anything

@Hantao The only indicator for me if a project is doing something good is when the community speaks for it not the team, definitely not KOLs or shills. Missionaries over mercenaries.
