@jbeam123 @koopaaron He might hump a leg or two. Generally he is great and pretty laid back. Though as soon as I go to the coffee pot, he comes and drops a ball at my feet.

How many times has “Judean” and “Jew” been mentioned in the original New Testament Greek manuscripts?
Loudaioi (Judeans) 171x
Loudaios (Judean): 23x
Jew/Jews: 0x
👉 The primary meaning of Ioudaios was geographic, meaning "Judean" (someone from the Judea).
👉 “Jews” is a modern linguistic and anachronistic construct interwoven with post-70 AD rabbinic/Talmudic Judaism.
Why does this matter?
In the first century, this was an ethno-geographic term. Designating a person belonging to the land of Judea. Just as an "Athenian" belonged to Athens.
Translating this as "Jew" injects a modern, detached religious concept into an ancient world. The theological and cultural associations we have with "Jew" today belong to the post-70 AD rabbinic and Talmudic development, not the geographic identity of Jesus' era.

This boy probably had ten years of anti-racism education that disappeared along with his bike.
