I have witnessed this club go from doubters to believers, and from believers to champions. It took hard work and I always did everything I could to help the club get there. Nothing makes me prouder than that. Us crumbling to yet another defeat this season was very painful and not what our fans deserve. I want to see Liverpool go back to being the heavy metal attacking team that opponents fear and back to being a team that wins trophies. That is the football I know how to play and that is the identity that needs to be recovered and kept for good. It cannot be negotiable and everyone that joins this club should adapt to it. Winning some games here and there is not what Liverpool should be about. All teams win games. Liverpool will always be a club that means a great deal to me and to my family. I want to see it succeed for long after I have moved on. As I’ve always said, qualifying to next season’s Champions League is the bare minimum and I will do everything I can to make that happen.

@alexgildeatrott You have players trying to force the club to act, ex players, online fans, fans in stadium and even Alonso is holding out on Chelsea to try and push it along. FFS what is wrong with this club, do they not see we are done with him and them?

I don’t think the higher ups will get a bigger sign that players are no longer with Slot. Salah may be leaving, but he’s a leader in the club, and there’s no way he’s alone in his thinking. Several players already liking and commenting.

Very damning words from Salah, but he’s spot on. Liverpool should be a team that gets you up on your feet, that blows teams away and utilises Anfield as its 12th man. Too sluggish, slow and fundamentally boring this season - something no one can get behind.

As Liverpool manager, how can you lose the game at Villa Park and then come out and say scoring two goals is ‘not bad’? That’s nowhere near good enough. That’s not us. That’s not the standard we set at this club for years. We go to places like Villa expecting to dominate, create overloads, score goals and win the match — not settle for a pat on the back after a defeat.
Yeah, we might still scrape into the Champions League, fair enough. But is this the type of football the club is planning to play again next season? Because if it is, then the standards have dropped too far. The hunger, the intensity, the winning mentality… it’s missing. And if this is the level we’re accepting now, then something has to change. Salah isn’t airing Liverpool’s dirty laundry in public, there was an unwashed load pegged out on the line at Villa Park last night. Players are entitled to speak, especially when they’ve won as much as he has.

There is now serious consideration being given to changing the head coach at Liverpool. It would require an admission higher up that things are beyond repair, but the question is at least now posed, it would also mean a reshuffle above the head coach at the director level.

Defensively, liverpool, where not that great last season, either 41, let in and 57 in all comps, and it's worse this season. It shows slot never really got it tight now in 2 seasons. People might not talk about it, but they should. Wharton not going to help improve that next season

Liverpool FC have never previously conceded 52 goals in a 38-game league campaign. And there’s still 1 more game to go!!!!!! Do you know how many records this manager has accumulated? And not for the good 👀 It’s horrendous. 1 game to go and still can’t say if we will get UCL
